Our Siskiyou Story

The word Siskiyou has never been authentically determined. Some think it to be the name of a tribe of Indians who inhabited the area. But the stories and tales are disputed, leaving an heir of mystery around it's meaning. In one popular story the name "Six Callieux" was given where six large rocks lay in the Umpqua river where they crossed.

As Nor Cal as Nor Cal gets, the Siskiyou region is nestled along the Oregon border. From lakes and dense forests to desert, the historic Pacific Crest Trail follows a portion of the Siskiyou Mountains. Whether you are into biking, hiking, boating, camping, or relaxing it is a place for lovers, a place to appreciate the beauty of all that nature has to offer.
