Our Elms Story

Newport was the scene of the Gilded Age, when lavish mansions were considered small 'cottages'. The area was the summer getaway of America’s wealthiest and most influential families.

Although I was born and raised in Rhode Island I've only visited a handful of the famous Newport mansions over the years. The Breakers and Rosecliff are on the top of every tourist list. Away from the Cliff Walk sits The Elms. Despite not having an ocean view this property makes up for it with stunning French-style and more understated oak floors.

This crisp white button-up makes me think of Newport. It's a lux shirt that you could pair with pearls and a skirt. But, like The Elms, it can sit back and relax into a more casual vibe. Perfect for city living and summer getaways.
