Tradlands has been great in so many ways. First of all, they helped me to track my sweater’s long journey to me. Due to Covid shipping delays, it took some time. And customer service was super responsive to my inquiries. Next, the sweater. It’s literally perfect. I purchased a medium based off the size chart. (Not the size calculator, I don’t recommend that tool). Use the size chart. I’m 5’9” and 160ish lbs. I’m a little curvy and weight is distributed evenly. I have a fairly large chest, as I’m breastfeeding still. I’m normally a large. The large would still fit me, but it would be a very boxy, oversized look. The medium is GREAT. The material is fantastic and the quality unparalleled. That coupled with amazing customer service has me as a repeat customer. This sweater will not disappoint. Thanks, Tradlands!
I had this sweater in the sepia and decided to try it in the bright red, which is actually more of an orangey red, and not flattering to my pale complexion. Also, the sweater this year is more fitted, not the lovely boxy version from last year. I sure wish Tradlands would stick to one fit on these items, it's hard enough to order online without having to try to guess what an "updated fit" means. While I appreciate the commitment to sustainability, I doubt I will order from this company again--it's just too much of a hassle to get the right size, not to mention that the return/exchange information is kind of difficult to figure out unless you don't mind paying a ton of shipping costs.
I have only worn this sweater once so far but it is very lovely! The cotton knit is substantial and warm without being too warm or itchy like some wool sweaters. I love the unique cable pattern and the size/shape and thickness of the sweater makes it easy to pair with different types of bottoms. The one thing I'm not sure about is the sizing. I went one size down (XXS) from my normal size (XS) because it seemed like it would fit large, and the arms/sleeves are a bit more fitted than I was anticipating, but the body is still loose. If I had gone with my normal size, I'm not sure if the body might have been too loose for my liking. Not a deal breaker by any means, I will still get lots of use out of it, but I might order my normal size next time. For reference I'm about 5'3", 32C, 27-28" waist and 36" hips.
Love this sweater. I purchased in cotton quail and sized ul two sizes as I wanted a big comfy oversized sweater that could stay with me forever. It's been a year since I purchased it and I've worn it at least weekly through the cooler months. Instantly a closet staple. So much so that I purchased the darker alpaca smoke version about 9 months ago in my true size. Due to the size difference, they are like two completely different sweaters. The alpaca has a little more itch factor but with a shirt underneath I don't mind at all! Love 'em 10/10 recommend!
