Name: Rebecca McKenna
Intro: Hi! My name is Rebecca McKenna and I live in a small town in the middle of California - Yosemite is basically our backyard! I’m an extroverted homebody who loves creating and curating beautiful things in my small home. I have a passion for reading and writing and have channeled that energy into teaching ELA to Junior Highers. Outside of work hours though, I love to thrift, hike, and get lost in good music and good stories.
City: Turlock, CA
IG Handle: @meaningfulmundane
Unidentified. I go somewhere between something retro 70s to grandma in the garden to boho to cottagecore to whatever honestly. It really depends on my mood that day and whatever is currently inspiring me.
I got back into hardcore reading in 2020 and have been working on my 100 book goal in 2021. Other than that I’m just working on finding my home decor style and thrifting or creating the perfect pieces to make our house a home.

I have been passionate about anti-trafficking initiatives since I read the book Sold by Patricia McCormick in high school. It changed my life. I then learned about how the fast fashion industry contributed to human trafficking and everything spiraled from there (for the better obviously).
Probably the Shelter Cardigan or the Nico Dress. They go with everything and can be styled a million different ways. This is important for someone like me who has an unidentified style, haha.
Take it slow. Start with one part of your home and slowly change things. You’re trying to make these changes last your life, you don’t want to burn out because you went too hardcore too fast. Also, don’t beat yourself up over every little thing, it’s all about doing your best and ultimately doing something.
We’re house hunting!! We love our little apartment but are also ready for a new change. We’ll keep you posted on the process… also hiking. Lots and lots of hiking.
Thank you so much, Rebecca!
