My style tends towards cozy, classic, and comfortable pieces. Putting on a favorite outfit or finding a new way to pair pieces lifts my mood on any day. My typical daily outfit is a sweater or turtleneck paired with either jeans or leggings and boots or sneakers but I also enjoy merging my style with my love for all things literary by creating book-inspired looks.
There are few things that I love more than getting lost in a good book. I also dance, paint, and am learning to snowboard.

I started to become more aware of the negative impact of fast fashion towards the end of my undergrad experience. Part of it was a desire to be more intentional with the products that I invest in while also recognizing that I tend to keep clothing in rotation until it falls apart so prolonging the lifetime of each piece by selecting slow, quality, and sustainably-made makes practical sense while also lessening the environmental impact of my closet.
I have several favorites, but the one that I return to over and over again is the Shelter Cardigan. Living in SF, I nearly always have a sweater on hand and love how the Shelter cardigan’s slight balloon sleeve lets it slide on over nearly anything that I wear without any bunching. The Monty Turtleneck and Chalet Dress in Gingham are a close second and third for their comfort and versatility!

I am looking forward to learning how to do more front-end coding in one of my design classes as well as improving my snowboarding this season. I also would love to pick up solo jazz and swing this year.
Something that has stuck with me over the years is that the most responsible fashion is the closet that you already have. When you find yourself looking to expand your closet, go slow and look for quality pieces that will last.
Thank you so much, Sam!
